Mediation
Mediation is an out-of-court, consensus-oriented conflict resolution procedure. With the help of a third party who, unlike a judge, is not authorized to make decisions, an attempt is made to find an amicable, self-responsible and independent solution between the parties that is in line with their interests.
Mediation is based on the voluntary participation of the parties to the conflict. It follows certain principles and structured proceeedings. The focus on the creative shaping of the future is of more importance than a past-related clarification of the conflict as in a court of law.
